App Tabs

The desktop app can reopen your recent work tabs after you close and reopen it.

What gets restored

  • Up to 10 of your most recently used work tabs
  • Task, ticket, document, event, and project settings tabs that have a direct app URL
  • Only tabs from your own signed-in account on the current device

Navigation tabs such as the left sidebar, the main workspace tab, AI chat, and temporary preview tabs are not restored.

Working with many tabs

Bnder opens task, ticket, document, and event details in an italicized preview tab. Opening another item normally replaces that preview instead of adding another tab.

Select its pin action or double-click a preview tab to keep it. You can also hold Shift, Control, or Command while opening an item to create a persistent tab immediately. Editing an item automatically keeps its tab. New-item forms and project settings pages are always persistent. Workspace settings stay in the pinned Workspace tab. Bnder asks for confirmation before discarding unsaved tab changes.

Reordering, moving, or splitting a preview also keeps it. Direct links and refreshed detail pages open persistently.

When the strip is wider than the available space, use the localized arrow controls at either edge to move through it. Selecting a tab through navigation or the keyboard automatically scrolls that tab into view. The active tab has a colored bottom edge as well as a different background and stronger label.

App tabs and browser tabs

Bnder work such as tasks, tickets, documents, and settings stays in the app tab strip. Use the app tab close button to dismiss that work, or select another app tab to return to it. After you close the active app tab, keyboard focus moves to the tab that Bnder selects in its place so you can continue without restarting navigation from the page.

External help, pricing, integration, support, and legal links show an external-link indicator or announce that they open a new browser tab. Close that browser tab, or select the original Bnder browser tab, to return to your work. Sign-in hand-offs and an intentional app refresh can remain in the current browser tab.

How restore works

When tab restore is enabled in the Flutter app configuration, the app saves the last tabs you actively used and reopens them in the background on the next launch.

If you open the app directly from a deep link, that linked page stays active and the remaining saved tabs are restored around it without opening duplicates.

If your tabs do not come back

  • Confirm that the app build you use has tab restore enabled
  • Reopen the same account on the same device
  • Check whether the tab was one of the 10 most recently used tabs
  • Open the tab once manually if the saved link points to content that is no longer available
